NOVEMBERS DOOM To Film Live Show For Upcoming DVD
July 2, 2004Chicago doomsters NOVEMBERS DOOM have announced plans to film a live performance later in the year for an upcoming DVD, to be issued in 2005. "We have lots of old footage, and some great handheld camera shows from the last tour, so the bonus material will be plenty," the band write on their web site. "A video shoot for the new CD is also being planned by the band, and possibly something containing old material compiled of old handheld camera clips to also be included."
In other news, NOVEMBERS DOOM's previously announced West Coast tour in August has been cancelled by the promoter. "We won't be touring until after the CD has been released," the band write.
As previously reported, NOVEMBERS DOOM recently signed a worldwide deal with The End Records. The group's first release for the label will be a re-issue of the last full-length effort, "To Welcome the Fade". It will contain a bonus CD with unreleased material such as live songs from the band's tour with THE GATHERING, the entire and long out-of-print EP "For Every Leaf That Falls", as well as some other possible surprises. Look for it in stores everywhere this October.
NOVEMBERS DOOM have completed the songwriting process for their fifth full-length CD and will enter the studio in October to begin recording the effort for an early 2005 release. The early plan is to once again utilize the talents of Grammy-winning producer Neil Kernon (CNNIBAL CORPSE, NEVERMORE, DEICIDE) for the final mixdown. Entitled "The Pale Haunt Departure", the CD will contain eight songs and will include close to an hour of music.
